Give it time.
The iTunes store and the Podcasts you have subscribed to in iTunes are different things. That is the iTunes store updates separately to you updating the podcasts you have subscribed to.
Not sure what the iTunes store's refresh cycle is, but it may take a while. _________________ Personal Site · Toongabbie Anglican Church |

Thanks for the help. You can tell this is all new to me. I found that iTunes only scans feeds once a day.
One other question: I don't understand why someone should put a link to a raw RSS/XML file. I've seen those scattered around the web but they generally look like the code but doesn't do anything. If I've submitted our feed to iTunes, why not just post a link to our "store"? |

You can do either. More and more, browsers either know what to do to show raw feeds, or they know to pass a link to a raw xml/rss file to whatever feedreader software you have set up.
It also helps other podcast search spiders find your feeds.
Of course you *can* do both.

You would put a link to a raw feed for people who don't use iTunes to listen to podcasts. They can put the raw feed into their own application. _________________ Personal Site · Toongabbie Anglican Church |

| Guys, this is a great thread. From your help and all the great links posted, I've gone from not having a clue about podcasts to having one up and running in just a few days. Thanks just doesn't express my appreciation adequately! |

| All this time later, this is still an excellent thread. I really miss the days when we posted on a regular basis. |

| How do I set up a "store" on Apple.com so that people can view & subscribe to MP3 sermon files on my church web site? |

| I miss the days when we had an active group of Christian webservants discussing and sharing. About all I do on the forum now is to delete members setup by bots. |

Hi Eutychus,
This is largely my fault. Thank you for your steadfastness.
We can brain storm on how to revive the bunch since the webauthors days!
